
El Horno de San Juan is a well-known restaurant in the area that in the last 15 years has known how to combine traditional Castilian cuisine with the latest quality gastronomic trends.
A welcoming and comfortable air-conditioned restaurant with seating for 125 guests who can choose from a varied menu, figuring prominently on which is our traditional dish of roast lamb cooked in a wood oven, as well as exquisite and avant-garde desserts. All of it accompanied by a good Rioja or Ribera del Duero wine from our well-stocked wine cellars.
Our gastronomy is of the highest quality in the local area and our clients confirm as much.
For example, to start with, we can go for a typical Burgos dish of black pudding with rice, known locally as morcilla, chorizo and peppers, followed by our traditional dish of tender young lamb roasted in a wood oven served alongside a green salad or “Horno de San Juan style” hake with lobster.
To finish up, either a little something to help the digestion such as a lemon sorbet or perhaps, if we can manage it, a “Dried fruit fantasy” filled with ice-cream and coated with a coulis sauce.
